Acid Etch

Acid Etch is a strong hydrochloric acid solution for professional use. It is used to remove severe cement based staining or for providing a key for subsequent coatings.

Acid Etch is an acidic solution which is used directly from the container. In some cases a solution diluted with water may be used. Acid etching is used for two reasons, firstly to remove laitence and secondly to provide a slightly roughened surface.
